From Darkness to Light

As adults we often look at our young people as though they were from another planet. We don't understand their angst or their struggles. Somehow we have forgotten how difficult it is to become an adult. Our memories of the pain have faded and we forget that our children are going through the exact same things that we went through at their age. How did this happen? I don't know, but it happened to me as well until I was going through some old boxes. In these boxes I found notebook after notebook filled with the writings and ravings of a crazed teenager. I soon remembered that this crazed teenager was me! Some of the writings were not suitable for publishing and some were. Here is a small collection of the ones that were.
