With the help of a covert operative, Elle's flight marches us through the back ways of a cruel country at war--encountering sympathizers and scoundrels, insurgents and gray figures between the hairsbreadth escapes along the way--while we travel deeper into her secret history, on an emotional journey presented in alternate chapter that's crucial to the ever-escalating physical chase.

Through the unlikely convergence of lives at a dangerous time--the spy and the journalist--we explore themes of loss, the stakes of survival and the desire for truth in a troubled world, all as the plot plays upon the reader's expectation of a thriller, then turns that expectation on its head when PURSUIT ticks to its wicked yet evocative conclusion.

THE CRESCENT MOON SERIES

From its beginnings, in the (forthcoming) prologue story ASSUMPTION, The Crescent Moon Series is a collection of character-driven espionage thrillers that follows a relay-style character thread through the key events in the decade of paranoia that followed the attacks on September 11th, 2001. Each book can be read as a stand-alone adventure, though will feature different main characters who then become recurring peripheral characters in later books, with Sean Hawkins the common denominator throughout.

In the coming novels in series, by releasing them in random order and through the use of different narrators and different thriller styles to provide perspective, choosing to follow the larger story arc will take the reader through surprises along the way that will radically challenge their perception of the characters, our enemies, and even the earlier stories in the series, in a chain-lightning effect that will resonate all the way back to the aforementioned and aptly titled first book, ASSUMPTION.

At the heart of the forthcoming adventure, drama, and suspense though, will always be something simple: each character's search for personal happiness in a time of great turmoil...
