A strenuous soul in a frail body, Roy burns with the desire to do some great deed, and feels that all he lacks is opportunity. After many mistakes, leading to mishaps amusing and serious, his opportunity comes to him. The narrative inculcates many useful lessons.

The story is a very pretty one, and nice to give little children or to put in a Sunday-school library. The sentiment is not mawkish nor the religious element overdone.
