The Spare Room

It's January, 1843, Vermont. Twelve-year-old Susannah Allen starts her new diary expecting life on the farm to go on as usual. Before she knows it, her world turns upside down. When her new friend from Boston introduces Susannah to ideas about slavery and the Abolitionist movement, she soon discovers how important these issues are in her own life. Susannah thinks it’s easy to take a stand... until it’s a matter of life or death.
