Sergeant Detective Jake Reno leads a squad of cops investigating a series of seemingly random murders, but a pattern develops leading to a frantic race to stop the killer. Rita, a smart, strong willed detective who has a knack for visualizing a crime through the chaos of random clues left behind, confronts Jake about his past, memories that haunt him, memories he'd just as soon forget. And there's Sergeant Sophie Fortina, a gutsy state cop who also has her eye on Jake as she leads a taskforce of officers tracking the assassin, Ivo Ramo, who side steps their every move in this rollercoaster ride of death and intrigue.
