This is a journey into adulthood. The adventures of Gabe and Rudy, high school graduates, lead them to St. Louis to find work. All is well until Gabe loses his lifelong friend, Rudy.
Gabe suffers the loss of his friend then during a church service, he accepts the call to the ministry. A chance meeting with Eve one day gives Gabe new hope for his future.
Eve's mother thought Gabe was a ne'er-do-well which caused dissension between Eve and her mother. However, life's events can sometimes change things. Gabe and Eve eventually marry and have two children. The death of the second child prior to its first birthday sends Eve into a spiral of depression that lasts until a miracle brings Eve back from a far place.
It is a journey through life and it reminds us never to give up hope. I, the author, am happy to have had the pleasure to tag along.
