God's Presence When Family Ties Break

Kandi Newman is a Southern girl living a simple life until, at the age of sixteen, she meets what she thinks is her knight in shining armor. Raised with very strong morals and values, she finds herself faced with a decision that would not just change her life forever, but the life of her children, especially her daughter Jennifer. For eighteen years, due to her belief system, Kandi felt trapped in an abusive marriage that eventually leads to the molestation of her ten year old daughter. This is a story about a woman who chooses to stand in her truth and face the harsh judgment that is placed on her by the Christian Community and Society as a whole. Her goal is to bring awareness and healing to a hurting community that still suffers in silence. Let there be healing and let it begin with me.
