Break in the Heat

Lily Hannsen’s little sister is getting married and she couldn’t be less thrilled. She’s forced back to the small-town past she’s carefully edited out of her life. She arrives in Minnesota to an oppressive heat wave that’s adding misery to the days of wedding excess and sisterly distress. Her plan to snidely smile through the nuptials crashes down around her when the groom is revealed as her ex, a handsome Midwest man complicates things, and a funeral devastates the itinerary. The past she’s kept from creeping into her present sticks to her like the heat as she tries to find what’s left after losing everything.
