Everyone has seen something about X-ray glasses, but these are different, if for no other reason than they are found in the bag that a pretty customer has left behind. The girl made such a great impression on him he is willing to try anything. Unable to resist the copy of the ad, or the girl, he orders them. They arrive quickly. They prove to have working X-Ray Spec so he takes them to the store to try them out. He learns a lot about what she has been hiding from him. It’s all a pleasant surprise. Judging from her reaction to his gaze through the glasses and her take-charge nature, she proves to be his most valued customer ever.

Because of his awkward nature, James had not had a girlfriend for a number of years, as it was difficult for him to find any woman who was both accepting of his quirky demeanor and attractive enough to satisfy his (perhaps unjustifiably) demanding tastes. But James knew what he wanted and was unwilling to settle for anything less.

One day, he heard the sound of the entry bell and looked up from the order catalogue he was perusing. He then saw, in the ovoid frame of his glasses, a woman too gorgeous to believe. She was like James’ picture-perfect dream girl, with her long black hair, pretty wide glasses, and petite body nicely wrapped up in a dark outfit reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
