Frayed little toothpicks reaching for the clouds

This short story collection of original, unpublished pieces has quite a few tales from the point of view of a young child.

The flashbacks in ‘Static’ have something of a ‘Ham on Rye’ feel to them. “Bobby looked back at me, eyes terrified, the same look I gave to no one those times when I just reached the good pages of my dad’s collection, the real sticky pages in the middle with the foldout”

His characters are agoraphobic alcoholics with anxiety issues, and even if you aren’t one or any of the above you can still relate to them. With titles like ‘The Side Effects of Human Interaction’ you simply cannot go wrong. It has it all; science fictionesque suspense, lonely nighttime sojourns and a truly ‘happy’ ending. “And the happy part of the story is that it’s over and I don’t have to talk about all those times anymore.”
