Earth no More: The Crossing

Two young Bardic apprentices prowl the deep catacombs, once the practice rooms, under the Bardic Collegium in Azul Valley. Their adventures bring them down here in search of forgotten treasures. As they thread their way deeper into the shadowy catacombs, their lamp providing the only light, along the wall farthest from their point of entry they find a stairway leading deeper into the gloom. By the amount of dust and lack of other footprints, they can tell it has been a long time since anyone has wandered through here. Following the stairs deeper into the underworld they find themselves standing before a doorway inscribed with runes from a language few in this day can read. Fortunately, for them, Bardic students still learn English as part of their training, some of the oldest sagas are written in the language. The runes on the door read ‘Bardic Collegium Library, the works and writings of Master Bard Christian Wulffe N’Jonathan’. The door is unlocked but difficult to open for hinges are quite rusty. Behind the door, they find a small chamber filled with bookshelves lining three of the walls, several chairs in rather dubious shape, and a table with a lamp and an open journal on it.
