The romance and adventures of the men who first saw and used the advantages of the Santa Fe trail for commercial purposes. Told by one of three orphans, who when children went over the trail with their uncle and who later fought the Mexicans and Indians until the trail was made safe. A good story of adventure, intrigue and mystery to which the historical background lends an added interest.
