When Sophie gets the hots for the new hero in town, a masked vigilante known only as the Wraith, she's determined to uncover his identity. Frustrated by her boyfriend's inattentiveness and suspicious of his excuses, she hatches a plan to seduce the shadowy figure.

It could be a coincidence, but the masked hero and her boyfriend share too many similarities. Could they be one and the same?

Sophie aims to find out.

When her plan works too well she finds herself ensnared in the masked man's fiery passion. She wanted to seduce him. He wants to dominate her. Can she withstand his dark desires to uncover his secret?

Warning: This 4000 word short contains one hot masked hero who's hard on crime and even harder when in control.

"I told you to think nothing of it."

"So you do remember me."

"Yeah."

Now what, thought Sophie.

"Well, maybe I wanna think something of it," she said, defiantly. "Maybe I wanted to thank you properly. Maybe there's more in it for you than just a kiss."

So much for subtlety, she scolded herself. The awkward silence dragged on and Sophie was sure her plan was collapsing before her eyes.

"Well, it was a really good kiss," the Wraith said finally.

"I've done better," said Sophie. The bravado in her voice scared her, but she was determined now, more than ever, to see this thing through. Besides all of that, this was exciting. Turning on a masked hero was definitely a turn on for her.

Fueled by the sudden ego boost, she pulled off the jacket, exposing her ensemble beneath; the light-up tutu and leotard from the week before. She flipped the switch in the back and the whole thing flickered to life.

"You like it? I borrowed it from the theater company."

Borrowed wasn't exactly the right word. In the fated night's confusion, Sophie had gone straight home without changing from her performance gear. The theater understood her previous state of mind, the stress she had been under, and gave her ample time to bring return the clothes. Sophie had planned to return it as soon as she could, but once she had formulated her plan, she decided to incorporate the costume.

"Still cute on you, but I don't know if the Wraith condones theft," he said.

Sophie pouted.

“How do you know I stole it?” she asked.

“Is it yours?”

“Well, no, but-”

“Are we at a show?”

"Alright, then,” she conceded. “Maybe you should come over and punish me then."

"Maybe I should."

He stepped closer, towering over her. She could smell the leather, latex, and vinyl all over him. Evan or no, he was definitely hot. She gripped his broad shoulders and pulled him down for a kiss, but he stopped her short.

"And maybe I shouldn't."

"Why not? Don't you like me?"

Her voice took on a coquettish tone that surprised even her. He said nothing and Sophie guessed he was either ill at ease or daring her to take things further. She took a gamble on the latter and let her lips graze his.

He grabbed her hard and fast. Sophie barely had time to react when his arms locked around her, forcing her body against his.

"It's not because I don't like you," he breathed, his voice deep and rough now. "It's because I've wanted you since that first night we met. I just don't think you should stoke a fire you can't put out."

Oh god, she thought. The intensity of his words frightened her, yet his scent was pressing all around, enticing her. His grip was still hard and strong and his gloved fingers were digging into her skin.

"I can handle it," she said. Her voice shook a little and she wasn't sure she believed her words, but she decided then and there that she did want it. She wanted it badly.
