Over the Darkened Landscape

Over the Darkened Landscape, Derryl Murphy’s second collection, reprints over a dozen stories that span a wide range of his career, including his Aurora nominated “Body Solar,” as well as his most recent piece of short fiction, “Ancients of the Earth” from Tesseracts 12. It also includes his four published “Magic Canada” stories, where he takes events in Canada’s history, then gives them a little bit of a fantastical spin. A mix of fantasy and science fiction, these stories explore the edge of our everyday world and give us a glimpse of the unseen, and comments on some of the possible futures of humanity.
