George Armstrong Custer (Illustrated Edition)

This is a biography of General George Armstrong Custer. Certainly, all of us remember Custer's defeat, and death, at Little Big Horn, in 1876. However, perhaps fewer of us know that Custer attended West Point, participated in Civil War battles, and was an officer on General George McClellan's staff.

The Preface was written by Custer's wife, Elizabeth Clift Bacon, who lauds the accuracy of Dellenbaugh's book.
