Celebrate Life

Celebrate Life is a compilation of poems by author Laurel Hill-Abdulsalam, whose travels have taken her from the West Coast of California to the Far East in Japan. No matter where she went, she found something unique and beautiful in nature and though she had to grapple with extremes, in climate, culture, and terrain, she gleaned from it lessons and a firm grip on "balance," a huge concept that when applied to all aspects of life, is the secret to success, health, and longevity. From a whimsical poem about snow, to a prayer to God for her mother, Celebrate Life is about all things important to everyone: Life, death, love, rage, motherhood, war and oppression.
