Barcelona, 1992

This is the first chapter of a book that I have been writing about a sailor who has a liberty call in Barcelona, Spain, over the Christmas/New Year's holiday 1992/1993. In this chapter I am attempting to convey what it feels like to spend the first day in port after being out to sea for a period. Additionally, I try to convey some of the atmosphere of actually being out to sea.
