I had been designing my own Christmas cards for two years when I thought I would add something to the mix in 1972. Because writing was in my blood I wrote an original Christmas story I called "A Little White Dove." And while it wasn't an international best seller, many of the people on my Christmas card list asked if I would be writing a story the following year. And I did. And I continued to write an original story every year after that.

In truth, I don't write the stories. They write themselves. I never force a story into life. Instead, I wait for the story to come to me and despite the fact that I sometimes wondered if an idea would ever pop into my head, usually by Thanksgiving the idea magically appears.
The 40 stories in this collection are intended for all readers. Some of the stories
are based on real people and real events. Some are just...stories. All of them are meant to make the reader believe in magic.
