Jesus on the Radio

JESUS ON THE RADIO is a collection of four short stories about the meaning and role of religion in one's life. Following an introduction by the author, the first story, Meeting Jesus For The first Time, is about the first Holy Communion experience of a seven year old and how she puzzles over whether to believe what she is being told about Jesus as a personal savior, and why she even needs one? The second story, Bride of Christ, reveals the struggle over the meaning of love, death, and eternal commitment for a woman who lived a life of forbidden love with a Catholic priest. The third story, Jesus Loves You, Molly Ross, is told by a poor woman struggling to survive a very difficult life and questions whether Jesus really saves anyone from anything, as organized religion claims. The last story, Jesus On The Radio, is about Jesus in real time, dealing with real problems presented by listeners calling into his talk radio show.
