The Spirit World

In 1921, Baptist pastor Clarence Larkin, concerned that so many people in the years following WWI were dabbling into the “world of the beyond,” first published “The Spirit World.” This work is above all practical and easy for the layman to understand. Larkin looks into all aspect of the spirit world from a Christian point of view. It clearly and cogently answers such questions as “What happens after a person dies?” and “Will we know each other in heaven?” He also deals with “familiar spirits” such as the Witch of Endor in the Bible and explains that passage. Particularly enlightening are his discussions on angels and the service they render on this earth. Comments and annotations by Dr. Gary Roper, a Baptist minister of the mid-twentieth century are presented in italics so as not to interfere with the readability of the original manuscript.
