Autobiography of a Yogini: A Black Woman’s Love Affair with her Guru

This is a book about love, longing and transformation. Loving, longing and transforming relationship to self. Love, longing and transforming relationship to a man. But mostly, this book is about my deep and abiding trust and transformation of my relationship with this thing that most do not understand - Spirit or God. This thing that we cannot see or measure or know with certainty. This thing that we either believe to be true or not. That we pray will assist us in our times of need. And yet most of us long to prove its existence. Either thru an unwavering belief, or through experiences which help us to know, but for some, there is becoming the actual desire to know on an even deeper level, to actually experience it – first hand: the actual allowing of It to become merged with who we are. So that we can become the individuals on this planet that we were meant to be: women and men filled with the substance of the Divine.
