Katie, Piece by Piece

After her father's job causes her family to relocate, Katie misses her family and friends and feels miserably left-out. No more big birthday parties, no more summers on the lake, and definately no more of Grandma's famous root beer floats. And as if things couldn't get any worse, with the birth of her baby brother, Katie is feels like yesterday's news and is certain nobody cares what she thinks anymore - much less what she might like on her pizza. Caught between knowing that things happen for a reason and not understanding what that reason is, a chance opportunity to spend the summer at Grandma's might be her last chance to make things better.
