There are fairy tales, and then there are forgotten realities.
After 700 years of deep sleep, Ackman the Genie awakens to the 21st century. Over the years, his father--in a distant galaxy--has been trying to find him, but Ackman's signaling amplification source, a simple-looking lamp, had been lost. The unidentifiable vessel that wakes him up relays a telepathic communication between him and his father, who learns that Ackman has not finished his assignment. Ackman has one year to complete the job before his father comes to pick him up. His assignment is to find for himself the reason that their kind was forbidden to interfere with humans' lives.
Seven hundred years ago, Ackman met a human named Aladdin. They established a good line of communication that helped Ackman to learn quite a bit about humans, but this time he has to learn things remotely. When Ackman is trapped in a new environment known as the World Wide Web, it leads him to a few young, highly educated humans who have a problem of their own. They have joined forces to save a friend's father, a professor of political/social sciences and communications, from a conspiracy involving corrupt politicians and heartless culprits. But now they also have to save Ackman, and that is just the start...
