Josh Daniels successfully avoided Christmas for years. Side-stepping his family’s calls for him to come home, working through office holiday parties and even refusing the croons of Bing Crosby. Not that Josh has anything against Christmas, in fact, he loves it. At least he did. Following his divorce, the holidays mean one thing to him – he has to put his daughter on a plane for the holiday break. His life in Hawaii with his daughter, Kaya, is temporarily shattered, leaving him hollow and broken-hearted.

This year, he has succumbed to his mother’s pressure, agreeing that travelling with Kaya would be better than putting her on a plane alone. Once on the mainland, he finds himself mercilessly confronted with the holidays at every turn. Every sight of families playing together, preparing for Christmas the way he used to with Kaya tears him apart.

Desperately seeking sanctuary, Josh finds comfort in a little coffee shop. With a divine spilled latte, he is spirited into a journey that will remind him of the true meaning of Christmas and open his heart to love once more.
