My Crochet Sampler (Illustrated)

This book contains a selection of patterns adapted to almost every purpose to which the art of Crochet is applicable, whether as a useful or a decorative species of work. Many of the designs have been expressly composed for this little treatise; others have been selected, as being very effective, from the chapter on Crochet in "THE HAND-BOOK OF NEEDLEWORK ;" but the designs that have been taken from the latter have been re-engraved.

In the directions for working the several designs, the plan pursued by the writer (and apparently with success) in her books on Knitting, has been adopted. She has aimed at simplicity, and the use of as few words as possible, consistent with a clear explanation of the subject.
