A Holiday Book: THANKSGIVING is an entertaining, illustrated story of the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. The author also explains other harvest festivals going back to ancient times. Thanksgiving is a celebration of the Harvest and Freedom, both! The story describes the Pilgrims' journey on the Mayflower, their struggle to survive and how the Indians helped them through their early years at Plymouth. This book was written for children but it could also be shared with the entire family as part of Thanksgiving celebrations.
