ONCE A WARRIOR dares to present the specter of a terrorist attack at the final game of the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Brock Coleman, a former DELTA operative, who was born and raised near the Tiadaghton Forest outside of Montoursville, is forced to accept a disability discharge from the Army after being seriously wounded in Iraq.
While attempting to adjust to his new career as a 12th District forest ranger, Coleman stumbles upon a cell of al-Qaeda terrorists ensconced in an old, remote hunting lodge in the depths of the Tiadaghton Forest.
Later that evening, he watches with incredulity from inside the tree line as the jihadists sit on the cabin's back porch and perform the Islamic ritual of shaving off their body hair, preparing themselves to become shuhadaa, martyrs. Their actions seem totally out of place here in the midst of the pristine forest, until he remembers.
The next evening, August 29th, the President of the United States is scheduled to throw out the first pitch for the final game of the Little League World Series in nearby South Williamsport. . . .
