Alma's Prayer

High in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Alma Hawkins anxiously awaits the return of her son, who against her wishes and despite all her arguments went down into the lowlands to join the Confederacy. After he left she held on to her faith, never losing trust in his promised return, but just as his term is nearing completion the shadows of war begin moving up the mountain and events unfold which force them both to face the unforeseen. Determined to keep her family together, she realizes that she now must call on more than just prayer. She must also summon the courage to take a leap in the dark.
