<br>Terror strikes the island of Grand Cayman when a mysterious creature starts to feed off more than just the local sea life, and rumors of a Loch Ness monster abound. Dr. Alexis Murphy, a beautiful Caribbean marine biologist, gets involved when her estranged grandfather dies and bequeaths to her a 12-inch tooth of what she later learns is an ancient dinosaur, an elasmosaurus. Derek, her 13-year-old brother, is interested in the other items of Alexis’ inheritance: a rusty key, a silver coin, and an old map. Initiating his own investigation, he determines that the items are connected to pirate treasure, and when he convinces his sister to go on a treasure hunt, they strike it rich—not only with silver coins, but with information. Old movie reels in the treasure chest reveal that the elasmosaur once resided in Loch Ness as but one of its several resident “monsters.” But the chief of police wants the creature dead, and Alexis must fight to save the elasmosaur from extinction.
