The Crucible

This is a very short fiction story celebrating the life of my father who was a metallurgical engineer from 1948 to 1973. When I asked him what he thought of this story before he died, he said it was "too far out." It is about how he solves a problem in his foundry where molten metal has solidified in a large crucible.
