Underground cartoonist and Internet/music industry technologist Rod Underhill has created an explosive tale inspired by his highly successful career in the online music industry. This is a harrowing adventure of a man who, after a decade of horrible abuse on the job and a series of tragic accidents and events in his personal life, finds that his mind has fractured and he now sees himself as a teddy bear and everyone around him has become a stuffed animal of some sort.

"Skulls," the most evil of all corporate executives, cause "Doc Bear," the protagonist of the story, unending grief and torment. Cleverly illustrated by the four artists of the Underhill Family, this full color graphic novel is being presented in 12 parts. Meanwhile, a collection of "angels" desperately try to lead Doc Bear back to mental health.

This is a tale of murder, deception, drug abuse, rock and roll, revenge and the healing strength of love. This exclusive Special Edition contains 7 additional pages of story/art, the cover art, and a lengthy interview with the creator. Although fictional in nature, Rubber Barons was inspired by Underhill's cofounding of one of the most successful online music sites in history and his further involvement with the world of digital music downloads where he worked with, or promoted the work of, such artists as Billy Idol, Madonna, The Beach Boys, Tom Petty, The Offspring, and David Bowie.
