I must admit: noticing an all-female cast did make me nervous and so I went to grab my black sweater, so I could cover my chill.

“So…what is happening?” I asked one of the regulars, an older woman, still beautiful, who replied with a snicker.

“What? What is so funny?”

She ignored my question and laughed again.

I was starting to become pissed and sat back down, folding my arms and sulking a bit. However, the joke was on me. Everyone was waiting for something. And that spaced, cackling laughter was not really avoidance but more like a “You have to see it to believe it” sort of warning.

I felt slightly nervous as I heard trumpets playing in the background.

All of the women in the room quickly stood up in respect.

“What’s going on?” I asked to silence.

Strange, binaural music started to play in the background and I instantly fell into a weird, almost ethereal state of mind, with plenty of butterflies flapping around in my stomach.
