The Headlong Fury: A Novel of World War One

Philip Belmont is an unsuspecting young American scholar who comes to Paris in the Summer of 1914. He is there to conduct academic research. Quickly, however, he is drawn into the international intrigue that will soon plunge the world into the conflict that was World War I. Before the Great War is ended in 1918, Philip encounters a range of historical experiences: secret agent, battlefront rescue-worker,fighter pilot with the famed Lafayette Escadrille, peace negotiator, and political propagadist. He interacts with important people of the era, among them General Joseph Joffre, Lenin, Woodrow Wilson, and Lawrence of Arabia. His odyssey takes him from Paris to Rome to Washington DC, Petrograd, Cairo, Athens, Salonika, and Geneva.
The Headlong Fury is the first novel published in anticipation of the Centennial observation of the outbreak of the World War I.
