Originally written in 1922, this book records very early events of the Pentecostal movement in England. Mrs. Lily Denham, known everywhere as the drunkard?s friend, was called at a young age to serve everywhere from the poor house to the public house, preaching the full gospel of Jesus Christ. She was a witness and an instrument of many miracles and divine healings performed by the hand of the mighty God. This book is a record of many of these signs and wonders that took place over the years inside the Pentecostal movement. Including blind eyes open, deaf ears unstopped, and Holy Ghost power that brought sinners to repentance. She shared speaking events with well-known welsh revivalists? George and Stephen Jeffreys, and was herself a prominent figure in the early days of the Pentecostal revival in England. Mrs. Denham was inspired by the book Signs and Wonders by Maria Woodworth Etter, and undertook to write a similar collection of events that took place in the British Isles, which includes a letter and blessing of Mrs. Etter herself.
