"Never Trust A Penguin" is an absurdist one-act comedy.

What happens when teenagers get caught inside a video game? Read on! Teenagers Suzanne and Peter are a typical sister and brother. They are very devoted to each other, but their differences allow for the occasional argument. Suzanne is very smart and tends to be overly serious and bossy. Peter, a cello-playing drama student, is more laid back and is tuned into his creative side. Little do they know they are about to have the most surreal and bizarre day of their lives!

Thinking they are late for school, Suzanne and Peter run into their classroom to find…no one there! It quickly becomes apparent their classroom has become an “Alice in Wonderland” realm where odd video game-type challenges are the rule of the day.

Suzanne & Peter encounter a number of bizarre characters, including: a surfer-dude Janitor; a school Principal that tosses malapropisms; an insane Health Inspector and her Robot sidekick; Sappy the Safety Clown; two fanatical Firefighters; and two singing Pixies. Strangely, all them make some passing reference to a penguin - almost as if the penguin was somehow in charge.

Will Suzanne & Peter ever be able to leave their strangely transformed school? Can they manage to say the right thing or perform the correct task to satisfy each character? Will they find ways to appreciate their own strengths as well as each other’s? And what about this mysterious penguin? Come and join Suzanne & Peter on this outrageous and surreal comedic roller coaster ride into a video game-like world. It’s definitely going to be a day they will never forget!
