Silent Voices

Krystal Washington, a compassionate twelve year old, was born into an elite family. Krystal’s ambitious mother, Idell had a lofty goal of becoming First Lady of the United States. Her goal would make Krystal a central component of a necessary alliance to fulfill her dream. Idell’s plan would begin to unravel as her young daughter’s compassion toward those less fortunate threatens her aristocratic views. As Idell plunges herself into the political world, Krystal relied on their maid, Mae, who was also her best-friend for love and comfort. When sixteen year old Krystal falls in love, the family becomes engulfed in decisions that would hurt them all.
