The Teacher

In a rural Minnesota one-room schoolhouse in 1913, a beautiful country schoolteacher is the victim of an armed attack by a crazed ex-boyfriend. 16 children witness the shooting inside and outside of the building. The teacher was hit by 6 bullets out of the total of 16 shots fired. An aspiring young doctor who removes 4 of the bullets from the teacher fights his attraction to her and holds to the standards of professional ethics. The teacher wants nothing to do with a personal relationship with any man after what has happened to her. One bullet is impossible to remove, and the teacher is confined to a wheelchair. Will she walk again? Can this most promising young surgeon put his feelings aside to help his patient heal from the damage done to her? Can a happy ending ever come from this tragedy? Only God has the answer.
