Jacob

Jacob Corbin has it all: a supportive family, a fantastic career on the high school stage and the interest of the most gorgeous girl in school. According to everyone else he has no right to complain, but no one else has Reverend Hector Corbin as a father. His father's occupation is cutting into his social life considerably.

Everywhere Jacob turns he's brought down by his Pastor's-Kid stereotype, receiving persecution from the school psycho, his paranoid principal and his love interest's father who are all hell-bent on making his life miserable. All this is a mere nuisance compared to the hypocrisy of Reverend Corbin's church members. Their misguided acts of ridding the church of undesirable sinners is enough to drive Jacob from any desire to follow the teachings in which they base their ideals.

Expressing as much in his actions and attitude, Jacob's parents immediately jump to the conclusion that he's on a swift spiral toward hell. Jacob has never questioned the power of God but isn't about to play Christian simply to avoid condemnation. Let the so-called saints point their fingers, he's done.

Free will or not, Jacob will soon learn in a very real way that God isn't so easily tossed aside.
