God, Glory, and Gold - The Quest

The Quest is a saga of soaring ambition by entrepreneurs who confronted hordes of Incas and initially succeeded. De Soto, Almalgro, Pizarro and his brothers come alive as flawed humans whose gold will fund the heroic struggles of Emperor Charles V. The Inca empire, numbering millions of people, is stunned by the unexpected capture of Inca Atahualpa, who despite paying an enormous ransom of gold and silver, is executed under tragic circumstances. The Inca order collapses until Inca Manco rallies his people to rebel while the Castilians fight themselves. Chaos reigns. All sought security in their god, glory and gold.
