A CAPTAIN OF INDUSTRY is 1906 novella by Upton Sinclair, author of the more famous work THE JUNGLE. In A CAPTAIN OF INDUSTRY, Sinclair criticizes the excesses of America's industrial captains of industry (also called Robber Barons). Readers of THE JUNGLE will be familiar with Sinclair's support for and promotion of socialism throughout the work.
