After Cory Winkleman wishes away his little brother, his parents want nothing to do with him. They ship him off for the summer to live with Aunt Grenda and Uncle Dingus, two rotten eggs intent on making him the village idiot of Snodberry. Is Cory doomed to spend the rest of his life performing idiotic stunts like eating three pounds of the stinkiest cheeses in the world and catching a watermelon dropped from a three story building – in his mouth? Or will he discover the beastly secret in the locked room upstairs and fix the worst thing he ever did?
