A new U.S. Senator finds that Congress is full of corruption—and danger.
Soon after becoming a US Senator from Ohio, Doctor Richard Johnson comes to realize just how badly the United States Congress is broken. Vain and self-serving members of Congress are becoming rich on the backs of the citizens. They lie, cheat and steal for power and political gain. Many will do anything to prevent a change to their way of life.
When Senator Johnson tries to pass legislation to stop the waste and fraud, he realizes that his life is in danger. He calls on his friend Mathew Abeque from Ohio, known to only a handful of people as Paladin.
Before Mathew leaves for Washington D.C., Senator Johnson's wife reports him as missing.
While trying to save Senator Johnson's life, Mathew is forced to kill two assassins, a senator and several corrupt union bosses. Both Mathew and Senator Johnson's beautiful office manager are beaten and nearly killed while trying to protect Senator Johnson. Meanwhile, romance is in the air.
Finally, realizing the depth of ignorance among the members of congress, a new, mandatory curriculum is developed. All members will be required to pass a test at the end of the six month course or risk losing their seat in office.
Three senators, a history professor and Mathew Abeque create the course consisting of several parts. The first is early American and U.S. History depicting the struggles of the colonists and the founders. The next part discusses the philosophy of the founders, the reasons they declared independence and why they constructed the Constitution the way they did. The last, and most important part, is all about ethics.
The main goal of the course is to teach the importance of keeping the citizens of the United States free of tyranny, fraud, corruption, overwhelming regulation and debt. Candidates for office will be required to pass the test before running for office.
A Congressional Reform School is born.
