How Good Is Your Shepherd? is a tribute to the life and teachings of Father Michael O'Rourke who died tragically on February 22, 2010. His funeral was viewed via video stream (set up by Wisconsin's Post Crescent newspaper) by over 4,000 people within the United States and by hundreds more across the globe.
This book, which is 191 pages in length, provides an overview of Father Mike’s life, commentaries on the events that influenced his teachings and his God-inspired teachings on topics such as marriage, divorce, abortion, forgiveness, life after death, and the priest abuse scandal, to name a few.
Father Mike's fascination with the movie, It's A Wonderful Life, was evident in the content of some of his homilies - one of which is cited within the pages of this book. In Seneca Falls, N.Y. (the REAL BEDFORD FALLS), "How Good Is Your Shepherd?" is currently on display in their "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE MUSEUM" along with his portrait and a CD of his actual homily on this topic.
