Let God Plan Your Life

This is the true of how my family and I had to flee from our homeland, Congo, during the war in 1996-97. It is about how we survived many obstacles, including war, soldiers, snakes; hunger and exhaustion through are belief in God. Through pray and dedication, we made it across dangerous waters to countries that at times, we not very inviting. This is a testament to how pray can get a person through many tough times. We face many physical, emotional and spiritual trials every day of our lives. Through the glory of God, we can be saved from the harsh world that we live in. This is also a testament to how keeping faith and not giving in to the despair can bring a better life to those that are suffering. Even in times when things looked the most hopeless, we were able to come together in Christ’s name. His words brought us comfort even when our beds were the rocky ground beneath us. Through pray and divine interventions we were able to resist the temptation of hate and hopeless because we knew that He was there with us, on the waters of Lake Tanganyika, in the jungles of Tanzania and to our home in Buffalo, NY. This book also gives advice on such things as discrimination, resisting evil and living a Christian lifestyle. A Christian lifestyle is not just having faith and praying. It is dedication to your beliefs. It is helping your fellow neighbor get through the struggles of the day. It is being a living example of Christ like behaviors for my children.
I have included many of my favorite Bible quotes. These quotes have given me faith, hope and insight into how to live a decent life. I want to share my story for many different reasons. First, I wanted to show how faith in God can change someone’s life. Next, I wanted to celebrate the joy I have felt by having Christ in my life. Also, I wanted to share many of the lessons I have learned as I came face to face with doubt, hopelessness and evil. My final reason is because I wanted to give hope to those who feel lost or unloved. I wanted to show them that there is a better path for them to take. A path that is full of love, hope and inspiration. It is the path toward Christ. My journey has been difficult but also glorious because it has re-enforced the belief I have in my faith.
This book is meant to bring us closer to God. It is inspirational in the sense that although we face difficulties, there is someone we can turn to in our darkest moments. In my life, I have seen births and deaths, feasts and famine, good and evil. I have also seen blessings. My family and I received many blessings on our journey. Through helping others, we have seen profound blessings, even miracles happen before our eyes. Over 6 million people died in the war, but we survive. A sick child was suddenly made well right when it was necessary. Even when our family was separated, we were able to find each other again through pray and faith. Even arriving in the United States was a miracle in its self. To this day we are not sure why we were chosen among millions of refugees to come to the United States. All I know for sure is that God was looking over us, just like he did when we slept in the jungle among the snakes. He was there when we were alone, sleeping outside and living like orphans. He delivered us from the mouth of certain death and set us on the adventure of a lifetime.
My hope is that this book will bring people closer to God so that they can also see the blessings in their lives.
