Life On Other Worlds

This book begins by discussing and presenting evidence regarding whether life exists on other worlds. Probable forms of life on other worlds is discussed in detail. The major determinant of life forms on other Earth type water and oxygen worlds will probably be the world's age.
Life on this world is based on the biochemistry of carbon compounds in water, therefore this is also probably the basis of life on other Earth type worlds. Life might possibly exist based on carbon but without water, for example based on carbon compounds in liquid ammonia or methane. Life might possibly exist based on water, but without carbon. If so then silicon based life is a likely possibility. Probably there is life throughout the universe, wherever conditions are suitable. Over adequate time evolutionary pressure will probably create intelligent tool and machine using beings. Some earth type worlds are younger than ours, some are older. Therefore we may encounter intelligent beings that are inferior or superior to us. The subject of meeting beings superior to us is discussed in depth.
