The sailing vessel, Celia Jane, was making slow progress as she passed the remote Seagull Island Light. The captain's daughter, pretty young Olivia MacDonald struggled to cope with the awful reality that her father, Angus, was forcing her into a marriage with his new business partner, Mr. William Miller.
