Linda is the proud owner of a new home on the outskirts of a small town. The Rumor around town speaks of a monster that lurks in the depths of a small lake out behind the house. With her curiosity piqued, and in need of a swim, she heads down to the pond to explore. Just what really lurks beneath the placid surface of the pond?
This short 3100 word short story is a sexually charged romp on the beach with alien tentacles that just mind blow Linda’s mind!

Excerpt:

A monster, really? That was something out of a fairy tale, or a child’s nightmare, depending on how you look at it, but that is not reality.
She took a deep breath and strode down the path. As she stepped into the tiny clearing that surrounded the pond, all was peaceful, just like the first time she had been here.
The water lay flat and calm, as smooth as a mirror as it reflected the images of the surrounding trees.
That is just not possible!
As she walked around the edges, nothing seemed out of place, damaged, or even odd.
Small town rumors, and nothing more. Now time to get changed and go for a swim.
Linda followed the path back to the house and once again climbed the staircase and entered her bedroom. A few minutes to locate her bikini, and she changed, then picked up a towel out of the stack that still had not been put away and headed back down the stairs.
She strode back down the trail; her bare feet propelled her silently across the mix of sand, dirt and dead leaves.
Maybe if I am quiet enough… what are you thinking Linda, there is nothing to the rumor.
She found it hard not to consider what she had been told, but it was childish to think that way.
She tossed the towel on a tree limb that stuck out near the water's edge and tiptoed into the still water. Her feet were met by the cool water, and sand that she wiggled her toes in.
She waded deeper, and stopped when the water reached her waist, then stood and looked around for a couple minutes not sure what to expect.
Good grief girl quit your fussing.
Without further hesitation she took a deep breath and dove under the water, the cool refreshing water gave way to her smooth motions, and her long lithe legs propelled her easily along. As she surface out in the middle, and tread water, she looked about as though expecting some sort of large hulking beast to burst through the underbrush as he charged to reach her.
But the only sounds that reached her ears were made by her own movements as she kept herself afloat, and the soft rhythmic sound of her breathing. Even the calm water still lay flat around her save for the ripples that generated from her constant motion.
Lot’s to be scared of huh Linda. Oh well, that rumor was probably the reason I got such a good deal on the house anyway. Call it luck.
She plunged back under the surface and began her swim. Nothing unwound her from the stresses of everyday life like a healthy swim, and with a serene and isolated surrounding such as this, the stress melted away even faster.
She fell quickly into an easy pace and swam for several laps. Once she approached the shore closest to the house, she felt something brush her leg.
What was that?
