Decisions for Survival

This study describes and analyzes how farm families in the middle hills region of Nepal make decisions in the production of crops and in the management of private as well as common resources. It is particularly concerned with the effects of physical and socio-cultural environments and external influences (like government’s interventions) on the economic behavior of farm families, including their management of local resources - land, forest, livestock and water.
