Implicit Design

No one named Elwood Bean could be considered normal, so the star of this performance is not normal, is eccentric and, by all accounts, is very unusual. He spends a great deal of time talking to himself and attempting to make himself happy, which is normally unsuccessful. He and his expressive, radiant face show his emotions to their best advantage, but up to now, this has not been successful either, so he decides to turn his face into a radiant version of the sun and its matching moon. He hits upon sharing his prize expression with his world, an 8-story walk-up in one of the tenement parts of New York City by creating a presentation staged in his apartment. This stage includes an overstuffed chair with a madman, of sorts, sitting in it and flashing his dazzling smile at everyone who passes his door. It doesn't work at first, but, surprisingly, it eventually does, and he makes a bunch of money. See what happens with Elwood's new-found wealth, and how he manages to find gold at the end of a rainbow. Her name is Pansy.
