Lost Innocence

Lost Innocence is a book approximately 5500 words long, telling the story of a young couple in love, focusing on the man's perspective, a loss that's killing him, and his introspection on what makes him who he is, or who turns him into who he is. A series of flashbacks shows a then/now scenario, between a sadness that is, and a passionate love that was.




They'd just finished making love first thing in the morning and were resting side by side. Tovey watched his angel's breaths come slower and slower. When he had judged her breathing to be close to normal, he leaned over and took one of her nipples into his mouth.

“Tovey!” Av exclaimed, earning her a mumble that might have been an acknowledgment. “We haven't even had breakfast yet,” she admonished.

“I'm having it now,” he stopped long enough to say, which was no doubt more than she had expected. Almost.
